Scope & Content Red looseleaf tied red hardcover scrapbook with the word "Scraps" embossed in gold on the front. Scrapbook coversera from the purchase of Li'l Harry's candy shop on Mississaga St. by Archie Carter in 1907, through the start of Carter's Candy Palace in 1910, to the creation of Carter's Restaurant, the ownership and changes made by Nelle W. Carter, Aileen Carter and Veldon Carter, the opening of one of the first Kentucky Fried Chicken franchises in Canada, the fire and later, the building of the Sundial Restaurant in 1962. Later additions to the scrapbook speak of the history of Carter's Restaurant, its sale, anniversary celebrations for the restaurant, and obituaries for Veldon and Aileen.
